Ty Brock is preparing for a crucial senior season after camping at several schools last month wholesale jerseys.

The College Station High School quarterback took visits to Indiana, Tennessee and Louisiana-Monroe, but programs are still hesitant to offer until they see him in action this fall after his recovery from a broken leg last August.

“For me I’m just trying to focus on doing well here and getting ready for next fall,” he said at the Texas State 7v7 Tournament. “Talking to all the coaches, I really just need to get my fall film together.”

That hasn’t stopped Brock from being upbeat about his recruitment and he announced at the beginning of this past offseason he’s choosing to give up baseball to focus solely on football. On the spring camp circuit and team practices, his leg hasn’t appeared to affect his play and he seems primed for a strong final season in College Station with a number of other offensive playmakers around him .

“Tennessee treated me great, that was probably my favorite visit so far,” he said. “I really liked the coaching staff, they seemed as they were showing us around that they were all on the same page and I really liked that. I thought I had a good camp, hung out with the coaches, I loved it.”

“I had a really good camp there, got shown around the campus,” he said. “I was a little disappointed that I didn’t get to meet the head coach, but they’re still looking for a quarterback, though, and I’m looking to play somewhere.”

“They’re at the top of my list,” he said. “I’ve known several of those coaches for a while now and have seen them as guest coaches at other camps I’ve been to. They told me that I’m probably at the top of their list as far as quarterbacks go, so that’s nice to hear from a school .”

Brock is now in the position of likely being a second quarterback in many of the classes of schools that have offered him. If Indiana comes through with an offer, that would be a major opportunity for both sides, as the Hoosiers are looking to establish a recruiting footprint in Texas, and their only offered uncommitted quarterback for the time being, Kam Fields, has recently chosen to play baseball in college rather than football .

Brock is banking on a strong start to his season to make good on the interest some of these bigger programs have shown in him, but could make a quick commitment to ULM if that doesn’t materialize in short order. The Warhawks only have two players committed at the moment, and would benefit from adding a quarterback to their class as soon as possible.
